The
VG-1004 is a four-port VoIP Gateway that supports both H.323 and SIP
protocols. One Ethernet port transmits both voice and fax data over
a single IP network (intranet or internet). A telephone, fax machine,
PBX, or the PSTN line can be directly connected to the gateway and
gain the benefit of Voice over IP immediately with no additional software
or complicated configuration required. |
Equipped
with the best DSP solutions supporting both G.723.1A and G729AB CODEC,
echo cancellation and others, the gateway achieves the best quallity
and efficiency in the VoIP field. Furthermore, the gateway is standard
based and compliant with any SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) VoIP
products.
In addition to being SIP compliant and using best DSP techniques,
the VG-1004 provides easy installation and management through web/telnet
configuration/monitoring. Users can use the gateway through any internet
access device including ADSL modem/router, Cable modem or leased line.

Quality of Service
The 802.1p and Type of Service (ToS) feature of VG-1004 guarantees
end-to-end voice quality in a managed network. In addition, when interfacing
to a very unstable Internet network where it is most likely to encounter
a 20% data loss rate, users may hear chopped, low-quality voice. The
unique robust voice/fax recovery algorithm of VG-1004 can largely
compensate the data loss effect of the Internet and give users a stable
voice quality.
Advanced Dialing Plan
Advanced dialing plan and address mapping make connection to any network
a simple job. It gives versatile and flexible dialing to any destinations.
It also supports “hot line” direct through connection.
Dynamic IP support
VG-1004 allows existing addressing schemes to remain without the need
of fixed IP address. VG-1004 can directly connect to the DHCP enabled
cable modem, or PPPoE equipped ADSL modem, which uses dynamic IP address
to link to Internet.
Anti-Line-Seizure Mechanism
VG-1004 supports an intelligent mechanism (patent pending) for detecting
line disconnection patterns between FXO interface and PABX or PSTN
central office switch.
WildCard
VG-1004 can be configured to use wildcard, this significantly simplifying
dialing plan for all VoIP applications.
Security
VG-1004 offers onboard password protection for administrative functionality
(Telnet login, browser login, and supervisor mode password protection).
Management Tools
VG-1004 supports full remote mangement ability with its embedded Telnet
Sertver, HTTP server and SNMP v2 agent. The network manager can easily
control and monitor the gateway from any point in the world through
a convenient web browser or telnet client. VG-1002 also provides a
real-time “voice call monitoring” interface. It helps the system administrator
constantly aware of all the call statistics.
