Product Overview
 |
The
VG-2004 is H.323 and SIP standard compliant VoIP gateway with four
analog ports and two Ethernet Interfaces. The general VoIP gateway
functions of transferring both voice and fax media between the PSTN
network and IP network are just one of the basic features of the VG-2004.
Equipped with the best DSP solutions supporting both G.723.1A and
G729AB CODEC, echo cancellation and others, the gateway achieves |
the
best quality and efficiency in the VoIP field.
What makes the VG-2004 special is that it solves the QoS problem by
providing the built-in traffic shaping and bandwidth control functions.
VG-2004 can efficiently control and manage the bandwidth of data traffic
by various shaping policies, such as IP address range, application
types, priority, etc. By controlling and shaping the data traffic,
the voice traffic can gain the best quality and least latency. Further
more, the built-in shaping function can also monitor the data traffic
by displaying various traffic statistics. |
Key
Featuress and Benefits
| |
Network
Plug and Play
Network plug and play allows users to use current network configuration
to access to the internet. You don’t need to change any IP configurations
in the PC or notebook, just plug and play.
Voice
Over IP
VG-2004 supports both G.723.1A & G729AB Codec and echo cancellation
and achieves best quality & efficiencies, also complying with
other H.323 products, such as Cisco, OKI, Lucent, Netmeeting, etc.
H.323 NAT
The goal of NAT is to provide functionality as if the H.323 based
VoIP applications in private network had globally unique address and
the H.323 NAT device was not present. It supports virtual server,
DMZ, packets-filtering and DHCP-server functions.
VPN Pass Through Supported
This pass-through feature allows you to establish a PPTP or IPSec
VPN connection. By using a PPTP or IPSec client on your computer,
a connection to the corporate PPTP or IPSec server can be done.
Built-in 4-port Ethernet Switch Hub
Up to 4 PCs connect to Internet without additional Hub device.
SIP Protocol
Support standard SIP protocol (RFC 2543)
Quality of Service
The 802.1p and Type of Service (ToS) feature of VG-2004 guarantees
end-to-end voice quality in managed network. In addition, when interfacing
to a very unstable Internet network where it is most likely to encounter
a 20% data loss rate, users may hear chopped, low-quality voice. The
unique robust voice/fax recovery algorithm of VG-2004 can largely
compensate the data loss rate effect of the Internet and give users
a stable voice quality.
Advanced Dialing Plan
Advance dialing plan and address mapping make connection to any network
a simple job. It gives versatile and flexible dialing to any destinations.
It also supports “hot line” direct through connection.
Dynamic IP support
VG-2004 allows existing addressing schemes to remain without the need
of fixed IP address. VG-2004 can directly connect to the DHCP enabled
cable modem, or PPPoE equipped ADSL modem, which uses dynamic IP address
to link to Internet.
Anti-Line-Seizure Mechanism
VG-2004 support an intelligent mechanism (patent pending) for detecting
line disconnection pattern between FXO interface and PABX or PSTN
central office switch.
Management Tools
VG-2004 supports full remote management ability with its embedded
Telnet server, HTTP server and SNMP v2 agent. The network manager
can easily control and monitor the gateway from any point in the world
through a convenient web browser or telnet client. VG-2004 also provides
a real-time "voice call monitoring" interface. It helps
the system administrator constantly aware of all the call statistics.
WildCard
VG-2004 can be configured to use wildcard, this significantly simplifies
dialing plan for all VoIP applications.
Security
VG-2004 offers onboard password protection for administrative functionality
(Telnet login, browser login, and supervisor mode password protection).
Interoperability
VG-2004 is interoperable with any standard based SIP products.
Others
Automatic/Manual control of jitter buffer, manual gain control. |
